Infused lotions are becoming a hot topic of conver Infused lotions are becoming a hot topic of conversation in Australia so let’s talk about them. While some users prefer traditional smoking or oral ingestion methods, others are exploring the world of topical and transdermal applications. For newbies, this can be a great entry level product that beginners can use to start experimenting with cannabis.

It should be noted that there are two types of lotions which are available under prescription. The key difference between these two delivery methods is that transdermal refers to the cannabinoids reaching the bloodstream where it will have a systemic impact, while topical refers to the cannabinoids acting locally. In short, transdermal delivery is designed for full body relief via application to the skin and topical application is more spot-specific action based.

If you’ve tried one of the above, we’d love to hear your thoughts! 📸 via @madbutt #cannabis
Dear HOH. Can smoking cannabis lead to lung damage Dear HOH. Can smoking cannabis lead to lung damage?

The effects of tobacco smoke on the lungs are well known. It should come as no surprise that in the world of cannabis its long-term use on the lungs is understudied and frankly outdated.

As we know, lungs are most comfortable when inhaling air. When you burn and inhale smoke, it creates an inflammatory response in the airways and lungs. There is a possibility that cannabis, when inhaled via smoke, could cause coughing, wheezing, and chest tightness.

Cannabis smoke, in comparison to tobacco smoke, differs as some of its constituents, like the plant cannabinoids THC and CBD, are non-carcinogenic and demonstrate antioxidant properties.

From our research, there is no strong evidence that suggests smoking cannabis leads to obstructive airway diseases however regular use over a prolonged period may have the potential to cause physical airway damage for certain individuals.

If you are concerned about the potential outcomes of smoking cannabis, it is best to consult with your medical team about alternative delivery methods such as tinctures. 📸 via @minoritycannabis #cannabis
